On behalf of the Board of Directors, welcome to our 23rd New Year’s Eve festival of the arts in historic downtown Winchester. Whether you are a resident or a visitor in town for the evening, we feel confident that you’ll find our celebration the safest, healthiest, most affordable and entertaining way to usher in 2010!
The fun begins with more than 100 performers staging over 35 shows. Performances include country, classical, rock’n roll, swing and jazz, Gospel, Big Band, barbershop harmony, a Celtic harpist, and much more. With clowns, model trains, karaoke, dancing and more, there’s something to please everyone! At the end of the evening, we meet at the intersection of Boscawen and Cameron Streets to await the traditional Apple Drop and celebrate the New Year with a spectacular fireworks show.
All of Old Town is a stage on New Year’s Eve thanks to our churches and other businesses that graciously open their doors to serve as entertainment venues. In addition to the churches, museums and many businesses that work with us, we thank all the individuals, corporate and government entities who contribute funds and much more to support this event. A special thank you is extended to the festival promoters, the Winchester Police and Fire Departments, and all the volunteers who make the evening possible and fun! Happy New Year 2010!
Sincerely,
Sally C. Coates
